Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) – New North Concourse Package 1, 2A, and 2B
Over several years, this project consisted of four separate projects that supported the installation of the new American Airlines terminal at Ronald Reagan Airport.
New Executive Office Building (NEOB) – Primary Switchgear Replacement
Dvorak provided extensive rigging techniques due to location of the equipment, new 15KV feeders, and coordination with the utility company, PEPCO.
35KV Service Entrance Equipment Upgrade
Dvorak replaced two new 35kV SF6 switches and new 35kV power cables installed in new 2W-5IN duct banks. In addition, Dvorak installed a new security fence, concrete housekeeping pads, and grounding ring to support the project.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) – Relocation of Airfield Transformer Vault (TV900)
Dvorak created new pathways for medium and low voltage power, communications (fiber), and controls consisting of up to a 33W-4IN underground duct bank and 30 manholes of various sizes along the runway safety area.
Eastbound Bay Bridge Deck Replacement – Phase 1
Dvorak is responsible for replacing deck sections on the eastbound WM and Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge (Bay Bridge, MD) with a larger roadway to support emergency vehicles.
NASA Wallops Main Base Feeder and Switch Replacement – Phase 1&2
Dvorak’s scope of work included the following:
- Provide and Install (32) 15Kv – 6-Way Sf6 Gas Switches and Concrete Pad Foundations
- Provide and Install (10) Pad Mount Transformers and Concrete Pad Foundations
- Provide and Install (7) 15Kv – Primary Junction Cabinets and Concrete Pad Foundations….

Reagan National Airport Combined Electrical System Upgrades
Dvorak installed emergency generator for North Substation and for Terminal A including new duct banks with associated cables and terminations, and new ground grid and concrete pads. In addition, the team assembled new feeders from the South Substation Transformer and a Main Distribution Panel feeding new panelboards and Transformers.

Bay Bridge Hanger Renovation
Dvorak repaired and enhanced the conduit system consisting of a 6-inch and 2-inch conduit located below the deck of the westbound span of the William Preston Lane (WPL) Jr. Memorial Bridge.

Fort Detrick Substations Replacement
Dvorak replaced substations, under separate contracts, including all foundations, manholes, duct banks, fencing, cabling and splicing, coordination study, and testing. All work was performed while the existing substation served various post customers, involving considerable coordination to minimize service interruptions.

Under Armour Electrical work
Dvorak performed lectrical work associated with the conversion of Sams Club in Port Covington to the Under Armour employee campus. Our scope of work included lighting, mechanical equipment connections, and fire alarms. In addition, this project was completed at an accelerated scheduled also encasing ductbanks, temporary power, and relocation of the existing generator.

Maryland Port Conductors and Transformers
Dvorak removed and replaced conductors and transformers and de-watered electrical manholes including disposal and handling of petroleum-contaminated and petroleum-chromium contaminated water and sludge. Our team also cleaned and inspected conduits, manholes, and temporary generators; prepared manhole blowdown diagram revisions; and installed arc proofing and metal-enclosed switches.

Chesapeake Bay Bridge Isolation Points
Dvorak furnished and installed electrical isolation points on the south bridge of the William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge, and associated access ladders.

WFF North Island Electrical Upgrade
Dvorak, LLC performed the North Island Electrical Upgrades to incorporate designs for previously completed work on the South Island feeders (Dvorak, LLC was the Prime contractor on the project), including the ability for each load (transformer)
to be selectively served from either side of an underground loop depending upon NASA’s requirements and preferences at a given time.

NIH West Satellite Switching Station
This new substation was to provide power for the new Porter Neuroscience Research Center and 3 other nearby existing facilities. The project consisted of furnishing and installing the electrical switchgear and campus-wide MV cabling.

Electrical Substations NT-CT & NT-D Replacement at Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport
Work included the installation of temporary feeder routes on the roof covering over three concourse piers, vertical conduit chases and four roof penetrations. Installing disconnect switches and providing free-standing racks on the roof top. Installing two new electrical rooms with electrical transformers and panelboards. Removing two double- ended substations and installing two new 4000 amp double-ended substations.

Electrical Feeder Rehabilitation (Phase I) Dundalk Marine Terminal
Furnished all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the removal of existing 15kV conductors and installation of new 15kV conductors with terminations.

WSSC RGH Building Transformer Replacement
Removal of four (4) existing 15kV Transformers, and associated 3000A and 1600A 15kV Busway Distribution. Installation of four (4) 15kV Transformers with Fusible Link Cabinets with Distribution 3000A and 1600A 15kV Busway from the new Transformers to the existing 15kV Switchgear.

PGCC Upgrade Electrical & Communication Ductbank Systems
Constructed new concrete-encased ductbank system for MV electrical distribution system and campus communication system. New 15 kV electrical service entrance switchgear in outdoor, walk-in type
enclosure.

Replace Existing Electrical and Communications Infrastructure & Campus Lighting – Power Generating System, Phase 2
Dvorak, LLC performed the Installation of (2)1650kW 4160 diesel generators, ATS, fuel line, tank, paralleling switchgear, duct bank and associated work.

Exelon Electrical Operations Building (EOB) Data Center Upgrades
Work involved: Demolition and removal of (2) 750kW generators, UPSs and switchboards. Installation of (2) 1500 KW generators, load banks, and generator docking stations. We installed new six-way 5″ PVC duct banks, 750 kVA UPSs, and 2000-amp switchboards. De-energized, disconnected, and reconnected the 14 CRAH units located inside the EOB data center.

Expand Emergency Generator Circuits at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, Charlotte Hall, MD
Installation of a new paralleling switchgear and three (3) 1000 kW emergency generators to provide emergency power to the “Core” Building and “Academic” Building. New annunciator panels for alarms and running signals provided in the “D” wing of the “Core” Building.

William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge 5kV Electrical Improvements
Supply, install, commission, cutover and warranty a new resilient remotely monitored and controllable 5kV feeder system, including cable, related equipment, stand-alone SCADA system, installation of new support structures, and labor, as well as the removal and disposal of the existing cable and related switchgear across the Eastbound (South) William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge.

15kV Primary Feeder Replacement at Baltimore Harbor Tunnel
Furnished and installed (4) 13.8kV (15kV) Tie Feeders between the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Canton Ventilation Building Switchgear and the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Fairfield Ventilation Building Switchgear.

Fort McHenry Tunnel Lighting Replacement
Furnished and install (2416) LED TL-7 Fixtures and (534) LED TL-1 Fixtures throughout the NB and SB walls of Tunnel Bores 1-4 (1-2 SB) (3-4 NB). Furnish and install (275) 18”x12”x8” N4X Junction Boxes and (975) 12”x12”x8” N4X Junction Boxes for In-Line Fused Splicing (Fireproofed) to provide pulling points and access for MDTA Maintenance.
